Aaron Thomas

Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, CART

One of the greatest joys in my life is helping people walk out of their deepest struggles into freedom and victory. Throughout my career, I have spent countless hours helping couples heal their marriages; individuals work through traumatic experiences and personal struggles; and families find wholeness and wellness. I believe that if the willingness to change is present in a client, great things can be accomplished through counseling!

In addition to my years of service as a licensed counselor, I have been working to better people's lives since my college years. With over 25 years of church ministry and pastoral experience, I bring a unique perspective to counseling in helping my clients find hope and purpose for their lives. I love working with individuals, couples, or families to help them move to the next level or work through the most challenging of circumstances.

I believe my greatest strength as a counselor is having the ability to help a client find the next right steps for their lives while still showing empathy for the difficulties that have already occurred. When we know the purpose for our lives, our marriages, and our families, we can begin to start walking in the right direction that will bring about the changes we so desire.

Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, MEd, CCPT

I truly believe life is meant to be spent in relationships with others,  and that is what makes the counseling process so effective in bringing about life change.  Healing, restoration, and reconciliation happen in those moments spent within a therapeutic counseling relationship.  I consider my role as a counselor a privilege in walking alongside my clients on their journey towards living an abundant and fulfilled life.  Whether you find yourself struggling in a relationship with your child, spouse, friend or co-worker; or you find yourself wrestling with hurts from your past, I am here to walk with you.  You are not alone, and I am ready to help.

In addition to being a Licensed Counselor, I also worked for several years as a school counselor and a teacher in the CFISD school district.  I believe this gives me a unique understanding in working with children and their families knowing the challenges that many are facing day to day.   I am also a certified Child Centered Play Therapist working with children using play therapy and sand tray therapy using my training from the Center for Play Therapy at the University of North Texas.

I am passionate about helping bring hope and healing to children, adolescents and their families through individual and group work.  I believe children find their best success when parents find hope and healing for themselves, and the family works together to bring about change.
